One of the coolest tv series to hit the fall schedule for book lovers is undoubtedly The Librarians!  Following the wit and humor provided by the original television movies, fans have fallen in love with these new characters and the recurring appearance of Noah Wyle.

Now those fans can get even more of these characters as a new book was just released, and it’s getting good reviews all across the web.  So, go out and find it!  And don’t forget to check out season 3, which starts soon in November.  I’m so excited to see where this series goes now that magic has been released.

What about you?  Have you seen this show?  Do you love it or hate it?  Are you excited for this new season?

The Librarians and the Lost Lamp (The Librarians #1)

Published October 2016 by Tor Books

The story toggles between the past, as Flynn Carsen tries to find Aladdin’s Lamp before an ancient criminal organization known as the Forty Seals gets hold of it, and the future, when Eve Baird and a new group of Librarians — protectors of ancient artifacts like King Arthur’s sword Excalibur — stumble on a mystery in Las Vegas that seems to relate to the Lamp and the powerful djinn it can summon.

The Librarians Season 3 Poster

Here’s the official synopsis floating around the internet: “Our heroes will face their greatest challenge yet as they go up against the ancient Egyptian God of Chaos to stop him from releasing pure evil into the world. The stakes are especially high, and one Librarian may have to make the ultimate sacrifice to save the world.

“The team also confronts a new antagonist, D.O.S.A. — The Department of Statistical Anomalies — whose mission is to apprehend the Librarians and take control of the Library and all the magical artifacts hidden inside. Discovering that there are brand new artifacts in the world, the Librarians find themselves torn between the power of magic and the harm those who use it can cause.”
