I had the absolute pleasure of participating in a couple of secret santas arranged through Twitter. I was new to all of them, and I loved being able to search for little fun gifts and wishlist books for people I didn’t really know. It was a lot of fun, and I plan to participate again next year if they happen and I have the finances available!
I just want to take the time to thank the wonderful people who organized these exchanges and the generous people who contributed to my Christmas joy this year!
First up was my amazing OTSP Secret Sister this round, Caitlan. She has spoiled me rotten, and I could never thank her enough! This month, not only did she provide a book from my wishlist, but 3 different hot chocolate flavors and pringles for a snack. Also, included a small plush eevee, one of my favorite pokemon and sayings, “Some people are eevee, full of potential, while some people are ditto, destined only to copy.” Sometimes I need that reminder 🙂 And my favorite gift, that gorgeous mug from Society6 with a quote from A Court of Mist and Fury, a book that resonated with my heart.
I also participated in #TBTBSanta for the first time this year, if you want to know more, check out this link. For this one, I definitely had more fun putting together the gift I curated then with the one I opened. I don’t want to sound ungrateful because my person was very generous, but I already own most of the books I was sent.
I absolutely loved the wrapping, and the gifts chosen from my wishlist were ones I had been wanting for awhile! Thanks, Kait! I’m for sure hoping to participate again next year. It was way too much fun, not too 🙂
As for SecretbookSanta or TwitterSanta, this was the organizer’s first year, and she needed a couple more people to round out her list, so I volunteered. There was a little bump along the way, my santee was ultimately kicked out for showing she didn’t honor trades on the Booksfortrade tag and for not providing proof that she would send her end.
With all the drama of that, I was ready to be done with this one in particular, but then the lovely Kristine made my month by going over the top with her awesomeness! Not only did she get me several books from my wishlist, but the little gifts to go with them were spot-on and fabulous! Amazing in every way, and I couldn’t be any more spoiled!
Here’s wishing you a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Holidays!
