Down the TBR Rabbit Hole #7

Down The TBR Hole is a meme from Lost in a Story that revolves around cleansing your TBR of all those books you’re never going to read and sort through it all to know what’s actually on there.

Most of you probably know this feeling, your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when youre scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well thats going to change!

It works like this:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if youre feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

Etiquette & Espionage (Finishing School, #1)

I have this entire series sitting on my shelf.  I’ve heard mixed reviews and some not nice things about the author, but I still want to give this one a chance I think.  Keep 🙂

Killer Librarian (Killer Librarian #1)

I’m going to read this one someday.  Maybe when I in the mood for a good mystery again.  It’s been awhile.  Keep 🙂

Wicked as They Come (Blud, #1)

I don’t actually own a copy of this one, but it’s about steampunk vampires.  How cool is that!  Keep 🙂

Cast in Peril (Chronicles of Elantra, #8)

I love this series, and I’m not quite sure how I fell so far behind on it.  But this is the volume I need to start in with again!  Keep 🙂

Antigoddess (Goddess War #1)

I have mixed feelings about this one.  It still sounds interesting, but I removed Anna Dressed in Blood from my shelf while loving Three Dark Crowns.  So torn!  Keep 🙂

Acid

This one still sounds kinda interesting, but not enough to make me want to pick it anytime soon.  I think it’s time to let go.  Remove 😦

An Army of Frogs (Kulipari #1)

I love this concept!  And the art is so much fun (and colored!)  But every time I try to read it…  I don’t think the writing style works for me.  Remove 😦

Codex Born (Magic Ex Libris, #2)

I loved the first book in this series!!  Now that all the volumes are out, I truly need to reread book 1 and finish it up!  Keep 🙂

Ink (Paper Gods, #1)

I really need to read this one!  I looked at the synopsis again this morning, and it sounds amazing!  Keep 🙂

The Clockwork Scarab (Stoker & Holmes, #1)

I have the whole trilogy on my shelf, and I love the idea.  Just need to find time to read it!  Keep 🙂

That’s what I got this time around!  I’ve been doing some major purging lately, and it’s very freeing.  And not just with books.  All areas of my house.
